Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha praised boxer Srisaket Sor Rungvisai for his perseverance and dedicated training regime which earned him the WBC super-flyweight title in a bout in the United States on Saturday. Government spokesman Sansern Kaewkamnerd said Sunday the premier offered his congratulations to Srisaket who successfully regained the WBC championship from Nicaragua's Roman Gonzalez, who was previously unbeaten in 46 fights. "This is a historic moment the world will remember," Lt Gen Sansern said. Srisaket stuns Gonzales: Wins WBC super flyweight title"The prime minister praised Mr Srisaket for his determination and fearlessness, which represent his solid heart," said Lt Gen Sansern. The premier wanted Thailand's youth to see Srisaket as a role model, he said.
